Based in the US, Pat is an accomplished C-suite executive and business leader with extensive hands-on experience building a successful Sustainability/ESG programme for a leading US public company.
As Chief Sustainability Officer at Verisk, a multinational data analytics and risk assessment firm, Pat was responsible for the annual greenhouse gas inventory, the development of its corporate-wide sustainability management initiatives, its stakeholder materiality analyses and sustainability strategy, and its external reporting (SASB, CDP, TCFD). He also led Verisk’s philanthropic engagements with the International Rescue Committee, GeoHazards International, and Team Rubicon.
His efforts helped Verisk achieve #3 and #4 rankings in Investor’s Business Daily’s “100 Best ESG Companies” lists for 2022 and 2023 respectively.
Prior to this, Pat led Verisk’s national property services team and its 800+ employees through a financial and operational turnaround of the business, increasing operating income 12 consecutive years, while doubling revenue over the same period.
Pat has an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School. He has been a frequent contributor on ESG topics at forums hosted by the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship, among others.
