Reed Huppman, Senior Advisor

Reed is an environmental and social performance specialist with 30+ years of global experience in sustainable project finance, ESG risk and project development across multiple sectors (LNG, power, infrastructure, mining, renewables) and in over 50 countries.

He is an expert on the Equator Principles (EP4), IFC Performance Standards, biodiversity and stakeholder engagement for major infrastructure, energy, and extractive projects. Reed is also a proven advisor to developers, lenders and private equity investors; an experienced expert witness; and an IFC-certified Performance Standards trainer.

Early in his career, he worked for three years for the World Bank as an environmental specialist in Eastern Europe and was seconded for two years to the International Finance Corporation.

He holds an MSc in Environmental Engineering from the Whiting School of Engineering, Johns Hopkins University and a BS in Geology from Boston University.
